I was born in a small town in Spain, close to the Portuguese border, in the beautiful region of Extremadura. I grew up in this unique setting speaking two languages, both Spanish and Portuguese, and because of this I have always had a passion for language and culture.

I studied at university in Spain, where I completed a master’s degree in teaching. After finishing my studies, I decided to move to the UK to improve my English and immerse myself in British culture. But what started as a plan to stay for a short while turned into something much more, this country stole my heart, so I decided to make it my home. However I must admit, I do miss the sunshine and the food from back in Spain! Every visit to my family is so special; it’s a wonderful way to reconnect with my roots.

For the past five years I’ve worked in education, gaining experience in nurseries, primary schools, and secondary schools, where I’ve taught Spanish. Currently I work at a small language school in Manchester, where I teach adults of all levels. My classes range from group lessons to one-to-one sessions, both in person and online. I absolutely love teaching, not just the Spanish language but also sharing my culture, and even traditional recipes!

Outside of teaching, I’m a creative soul with a love for painting and drawing. I’ve always been a very artistic person. I also enjoy reading and learning, particularly about history. One of my greatest passions is travelling, exploring new cultures, and, of course, discovering new languages along the way.
